Michael Karraker for Ellensburg School District Board of Directors​

 

My name is Mike Rowley, I have been a resident of Kittitas County for over 20 years now. During the past 22 years, I have been involved with many school activities as our 3 children went through the various schools of the district and community. My wife and I are local business owners in a family run store that has been a part of the valley for over 50 years.​

 

Today, I am writing to you regarding Michael Karraker, a candidate running for

Ellensburg School District Board of Directors position 3. I have had the pleasure of knowing Michael for over 15 years as a friend and fellow community member. Michael and his wife are local business owners like us, and he takes a lot of pride in his work.​

 

Michael has been very involved within the community in various roles. He is the vice chair of the Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee. Most recently, he has been a member of the 1/10 th of 1% Mental Health board as well as the Chemical Dependency Tax Advisory board. He has enjoyed working for the community through these different boards. We have had many conversations over the past few years, and it shows his dedication towards our community.

I feel Michael Karraker would be a great addition to our school board and bring some good insights and depth of knowledge around boards and committees. He has proven to hold our community members’ concerns as a priority, and he will do great for our children’s needs in education.
